22World Heritage Sites
It has been a huge privilege to not only visit a large
number of World Heritage Sites, but also to have had
the opportunity to work on several of the key British
sites and emerging sites. This selection of photographs
is a mixture of pseudo-iconic views and random jottings
In November 2009 there was a brief and valuable opportunity
to visit Libya for many people, some were able to have good
work contracts and tourism was being encouraged. A surprisingly
lovely country with warm and friendly, open, people the events
that have followed have been very unfortunate. Sabratha is one
of the dramatic Roman/Phoenician remnants of North Africa and
is very beautiful (1982)
