World Heritage Sites
It has been a huge privilege to not only visit a large
number of World Heritage Sites, but also to have had
the opportunity to work on several of the key British
sites and emerging sites. This selection of photographs
is a mixture of pseudo-iconic views and random jottings
The city of Porto in Portugal, originator of the name for the
country, is of at least Roman origin (they called it Portus) and
sits on the crossing of the Douro near to the sea. Upstream the
river is the home for vast swathes of vineyards and home of the
wine that we drink as Port, Offley and Sandeman being port
manufacturers and exporters (1996)
