Favourites
The reasons for taking any photograph are many and
various and sometimes something about a photograph
can make it one of the photographer's favourites.
Many times it is the memories associated, but occasionally
it can be because something has happened with the
photograph since then
Glencoe. Land of mixed fortune of history and weather. It took
35 years of annual visits before anything even as sunny as this
photograph shows could be seen, almost always it had been a
grey and dingy scene. The true scale and majesty of the pass
of Glencoe is hugely surprising and of international stature,
but its moods are riveting
