Ecclesiastical Architecture
With his early years having been heavily influenced by Ely Cathedral, Simon Davey developed a great interest in ecclesiastical architecture. He believes strongly that the glories of the world's great religious buildings are as spiritually uplifting as music. Especially in recent years, following the advent of digital photography, he has striven to capture this with his photographs. A current project is photographing the churches and places of worship in the South Downs National Park.
