Gazetteers
These photographs are interesting to take in a different
way, for the need is to explore the reasons for why a
feature is to be included in a list or gazetteer and to
record key features. Getting too clever about how
the photograph is taken can be counter-productive
and mask the reason the photograph is needed
Gazetteers take many forms and it was good to follow the
fortifications theme with recording the sites for lichens on
Elizabeth Castle, Jersey. This shows the curtain wall that links
the Bastion to the Grand Battery
