Using his cross-border sales and technical leasing skills, Simon is responsible for building strong relationships with corporate clients, banks, lessors and strategic investors.
Simon has over 25 years leasing industry experience, with 11 years spent in continental Europe. Former roles include VP Business Development Europe at GATX International Ltd, the worlds largest independent leasing company, where he established a multi-country operating lease business, developed documentation for the UK, France and Germany and successfully negotiated residual value lease structures ranging from 5-150m.
Previously, Simon was Managing Director for Lombard France (part of the National Westminster Bank group), which he developed from a start-up to create an organisation with a significant portfolio, establishing a substantial contact base from writing varied and complex transactions.
Although principally sales oriented Simon has a strong risk management ethos, having been responsible for Bank of France reporting, assuming a number of board positions on joint venture companies and managing the portfolio of NatWest France SA.
With over 35 years appraising, buying and selling new and used equipment, Chris heads up TEAMs asset valuation, monitoring and remarketing disciplines.
A trained engineer, Chriss former roles include Senior Equipment Manager Europe at GATX International Ltd, recognised as a market leader in equipment management. Chris was responsible for equipment valuations, residual value negotiations and return conditions on lease structures of 5-150m, ongoing portfolio management including site inspection services and remarketing of end of lease equipment.
Previously, Chris spent 8 years as Senior Equipment Manager at GATX Asset Residual Management (GARM), a joint venture between GATX and Lombard, one of Europes largest leasing companies. He performed equipment valuations, was responsible for setting residual values and establishing return conditions on lease structures 0.5-30m.
Chris was also responsible for remarketing equipment at the end of the lease term, helping GARM to achieve above its hurdle rate of return.
Sylvie’s recent professional experience has been ten years with the international Chargeurs group. She was in charge of the implementation of “off balance sheet” operating leasing programmes for the various operating divisions within the Chargeurs group.
In the latter years, Sylvie was engaged in the external growth of Chargeurs, that was realised by mergers and acquisitions. Sylvie studied many industrial organisations in different operating sectors within this programme.
Prior to joining TEAM in 2004, Michael spent 15 years in the insurance industry in a variety of underwriting and account management roles. Following his previous company’s acquisition of a French insurer, Michael moved to France in 1998. As Underwriting Manager, he was responsible for the technical profitability of the business and the development and launch of new products.
Michael’s first role at TEAM was to undertake an extensive programme of due diligence on a new transaction and he continues to work closely with the customer on the ongoing management and development of the deal. He is primarily responsible for the ongoing management of TEAM’s completed transactions together with Financial Services Authority compliance and reporting.
Prior to joining TEAM, Sophie was engaged in several challenging positions: translating Financial software packages for editors, Training Manager for French, English and German tele-marketing teams, as the Customer Service Assistant with CODA, launching their new software systems, and with the Campbell Soup company, implementing their European HQ Centre in Paris.
Sophie joined TEAM in 2003, initially to assist with the company’s creation. Today, whilst regularly exercising her trilingual skills with TEAM’s contacts across Europe, Sophie’s primary responsibilities include all the French administrative, accounting and office management tasks and liaising with the TEAM UK operation.
