What is NLite?

NLite is a medical laser which emits a unique laser light SmartPulse™ from a handpiece held close to your skin.

"The biggest breakthrough in the treatment of Acne Vulgaris in 20 years."

That's how Consultant Dermatologist Dr Chu summarised the results of his double blind study into the NLite pulsed-dye laser for facial inflammatory acne. Following a single treatment, improvement was often seen at 2 to 4 weeks and after 12 weeks 87% of patients had improved substantially.

Patients Comments

Treatment was well tolerated with no serious adverse effects. In light of these and other findings, NLite gained full FDA clearance for inflammatory active acne to accompany its existing FDA clearance for vascular lesions and wrinkle reduction.

So now you can take advantage of the magical benefits of NLite with the full support of sound scientific back-up.

What can NLite do for me?

If you suffer from acne, NLite has been clinically proven to effectively treat the inflammation and spots, as well as reducing pits and scars noticeably improving your skin. If unsightly wrinkles like crows feet cause distress, NLite can smooth them out, visibly reducing their appearance giving younger looking skin. If you have certain kinds of vascular lesions such as port-wine stains, spider veins or rosacea etc. NLite can treat them effectively.

How does NLite work?

Against acne the SmartPulse™ laser light kills and reduces the bacteria that causes the infection and it stimulates the natural mechanism repair of the skin.

With acne scars and wrinkles the light penetrating into the blood vessels stimulates your body's natural healing response to build collagen from beneath so gradually pushing the wrinkles out. To treat vascular lesions a higher energy beam is used which destroys the problem blood vessels that cause the blemishes whilst leaving healthy skin unharmed.

What does the treatment involve?

The treatment itself is simple and very fast, about 30 minutes for a full facial treatment, and is totally safe leaving no signs on the skin surface. This is because the laser works on the lower surface or Dermis section of the skin where collagen production occurs.

As a result you can have a treatment during your lunch break and return to work with no visible signs of treatment.

The treatment is suitable for a number of areas including eyes, mouth, forehead, cheeks, neck and can be used on all skin types. Unlike other laser resurfacing treatments it is a painless procedure requiring no recovery time.

You will only feel a mild tingling sensation as the laser light is absorbed in the skin. Having treated thousands of patients throughout the world with a high level of satisfaction, NLite is fast replacing existing surgical procedures with a safer, faster, and less expensive treatment for restoring a youthful appearance to your skin.

How many treatments are required?

Acne has been shown to significantly improve 2 to 4 weeks following a single session. Patients will usually receive treatments 2 weeks apart. Combination treatments such a microdermabrasion exfoliate the outer layer of skin, complimenting and enhancing the NLite treatment.

Results are seen after 1 to 3 months. Vascular lesions depending on their type and severity are selectively destroyed. Spider veins can take as little as 1 treatment, whilst other types may need several treatments.

Does NLite have any side effects?

Immediately following the treatment there are little or no visible-effect so you can resume normal routine quickly. NLite is clinically proven to have negligible side-effect.

How long do the benefits last?

Acne clearance has been shown to last over 9 months. Maintenance treatments may required thereafter. Further treatments to maintain wrinkle reduction are required only when you consider necessary with results typically lasting 12 months.

Could NLite work for me?

Whether it's for acne, wrinkles or vascular lesions, NLite's SmartPulse™ technology is effective on the majority of patients.
