Long term care

We all get older, slower and maybe more dependent upon others. If we cannot look after ourselves then others must assist. That said, few of us wish to have our financial affairs taken over by local authorities -

Trouble is that everything is expensive and money spent on a contingency could otherwise be better spent elsewhere. What do you do.

The dilemma

For all who may need care

  • I definitely wish to be able to afford care if I need it.
  • I do not want the local authority to take over my affairs.
  • What can I leave to the kids?
  • No one will take me on if I leave it too late.
  • How do I pay for the care?
  • How long can I afford it?
  • What if the money runs out.
  • Will I have to sell the house?

For the Nursing or Rest Home owner

  • How do I secure payment for as long as the resident is with me?
  • How do I avoid either becoming a reluctant charity or having to ask a resident to leave?

For the Family

  • How much will it cost?
  • For how long?
  • Will we have to find the fees if the money runs out?

And so forth.

THE PROBLEM MOST DEFINITELY IS SOLUBLE if you want it to be ……
