Permanent health insurance - income replacement

Most of us will need continuing income if we become too unwell to work. You can insure your income for the short-term or for the longer term and you can even insure income for the rest of your life. There are contracts well suited to your own personal needs and there are contracts entirely unsuited to your own needs. You will need to analyse the trade-off between what you feel you can afford and what you feel you need. Then decide how much of what type you will have.

Cover varies from accident sickness through to career permanent health insurance extending on into long-term care.

Some contracts have a significant investment element and are therefore regulated by the Personal Investment Authority. Simpler contracts without an investment element are not regulated by the Personal Investment Authority.
