Anglo Continental works with reputable agencies within the European Economic Area and others further afield. Historically we have sourced applicants from South Africa, Australia, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.
Yes, all our applicants have provided documentation to prove their eligibility to work in the UK. Anglo Continental Placements is a non-discriminatory agency and conforms to the statutory regulations for equal opportunities.
Applicants that come via our overseas agencies have their visas processed and validated before their details are sent to us. Any South African or Australian applicant we are looking to place already has a working holiday visa and is ready to travel to the UK to commence employment.
We always keep a copy of each applicant’s visa along with their complete file at our office and it is available to potential employers on request.
Typically we would expect our overseas applicants to receive a minimum placement of six months. If you are looking to employ a member of staff for a longer period of time this can be negotiated before we begin the recruitment process. Anglo Continental can supply seasonal staff, or placements of less than six months but it is important that we know the timescale at the start of the recruitment process.
Call one of our recruitment specialists on +44 (0)1273 776660. They will take down the particulars of the position you are looking to fill and then send you details of the applicants we have available. Once you have had the chance to assess the applicants CV’s we will be in touch to find out your thoughts. If you are interested in an applicant and would like to proceed you will need to
complete our Confirmation of Employment form and return it to us.
The Confirmation of Employment is a simple one page document where the employer enters data confirming details of employment for the applicant. For example, hotel details, description of duties, conditions of placement.
The completed form is sent to our agent who will present it to the applicant. Once the applicant accepts the job they will sign the paperwork and return it to our offices. We will notify you of the applicant’s acceptance and inform you as to the likely start date.
If you would like to talk to the applicant before committing to offering a position we can put you in touch with the applicant. As UK agents we inform applicants as best we can as to the placement on offer, but we do understand that contact with the employer prior to arrival in the UK can benefit both parties.
When the placement has been agreed we will endeavour to meet the start date as given in the Confirmation of Employment.
If you are looking for an applicant to start immediately we would suggest planning on four to seven days for non-European staff and two to four days for European staff. This is, of course, dependent on the time of year and flight availability.
Once we have received the applicant’s flight details we will produce a travel itinerary for so that you will know when to expect your new staff member.
All travel costs are met by the applicant.
With over 18 years experience recruiting overseas staff we have long established agreements with our agents and have driven as much cost out of the process as possible. These savings are passed on to you through our competitive rates.
Should an applicant decide to leave their “Confirmation of Employment Contract” requires that the costs for filling their position can be deducted from the applicant’s salary.
If you would further information please drop us an email or call +44 (0)1273 776660 for an informal chat. We are always happy to answer questions and discuss any queries you may have.
