How To Make Your Own Perfume – 5 Easy Steps 1. The Scent Base Transfer 5ml of the scent base alcohol from the large bottle to one of the atomizer bottles using the pipette. Use the measuring scale on the pipette to ensure you transfer the correct amount. 2. The Fragrances Use the pipette to place a drop of a perfume essence onto a testing strip and write the essence number on the strip. These essences are highly concentrated and their smell is strong. 3. Mixing Add a few drops of your choice of essence to the scent base in the atomizer bottle and mix gently. Check the progress of your new scent and how it develops by using the testing strip to smell it. Remember, every time you add a new drop of essence, record it on the table overleaf. Never exceed more than 15 drops per 5ml of the scent base. 4. Start Again If you don’t like the scent you have created or you make a mistake, simply empty the atomizer and rinse out with a little scent base and start again. The essences are very concentrated so you will have enough for many attempts. 5. Your Personal Perfume Once you have found a recipe that you like then well done! Having created your ideal scent, you can remix it at any time using the notes you have made. You can increase the amount by placing double the volume of scent base and essences in the atomizer bottle. |

REMEMBER – For perfect results you should be exact and neat in the way you work. Clean the pipette after each step with a paper towel and ensure that no residue interferes with your recipe. Don’t forget to record each drop of essence on the table overleaf – this is the only way you can repeat your perfume to an exact recipe. |
