The
S264 seals are used in combination with 2600T transmitters, allowing
differential, gauge or absolute pressure measurements. A wide range of
remote seal types are available, which allows optimum design for each
application without compromising performance.

These
transmitters are based on a proven, highly-stable measuring sensor that
is then fitted with a remote seal. The pressure present is transferred
via the diaphragm and the filling liquid to the internal sensing
diaphragm in the measuring sensor and converted into an electrical
signal by the electronics. The high over-ranging capability provides for
high operational safety, als with disturbances from the process. The
remote seals, which depending on type, are either connected directly to
the transmitter or via a flexible capillary tube. The length of the
capillary tube is determined by the location and mounting position. The
process wetted parts of the remote seal can be selected from various
materials, i.e. Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C or Tantalum, depending upon
the required resistance to corrosion. Various filling liquids, for
example for the food and beverage industry, complete the spectrum of
applications.
