The ICP Search process is made up of the following procedures:


  • Initial briefing and client study

    In order to fully understand our clients’ needs in detail, we meet to discuss all requirements, and the business environment, culture and priorities. Together we work to prepare and agree the full job description ahead of launch.

  • Research

    Once the requirement is confirmed, we compile a list, in partnership with the client, to select and agree all possible target companies and sectors to ensure all potential candidates are approached.

  • Approach of all potential candidates

    All possible candidates, whether actively seeking employment or not, are approached on an informed and professional basis to introduce the opportunity.

  • Telephone screen interviews and informal referencing

    Once the interested and best candidates are discovered, we perform a tailored competency-based interview which highlights their strengths and weaknesses. We also seek additional information about each candidate on an ongoing basis by using external methods.

  • Presentation of shortlist

    Once we have determined the strongest possible candidates, we present these to the client with notes of competencies, strengths, weaknesses and all other necessary information.

  • Face-to-face interviews

    All ICP Search senior team members are experienced in managing and contributing to the interview process, and encourage this if required.

  • Offer and acceptance

    We work closely with the client and the candidate at this stage to ensure the expectations of both parties are achieved. Once the offer is made to the successful candidate, we manage the process through to the agreed start date. Unsuccessful candidates are promptly and professionally informed throughout the process.
