Award success… Our 15ml Chilli, Lime and Lemongrass Dressing won the Innovation Award (packaging & new product development) at the Excellence in Food and Drink Awards 2006 that took place at the Dorchester Hotel in early December. Working towards that BIG order!… B&DFL working with Airline Caterers to ‘feed the 600’ over three classes in the world’s largest aircraft yet – The Airbus A380. Are we going to see the world’s first true ‘brasserie in the sky’ with customers using it for a drink and a feed and then back to their seats? We hope so and are working with those who also do.

New Trading Agreement with 3663 to supply major brewer – Youngs… Ties cemented with 3663 to carry a full range of chutneys and sauces in Youngs own label jars for distribution throughout the Youngs estate, giving individual houses a complete meal accompaniment range from one supplier with their own label and using their own beers as supplemental ingredients. Marvellous.
B&DFL grow into 2 more units with lots more shiny kit… Starting out our life with one unit in early 2000, B&DFL have just acquired numbers 5th and 6th units – one of these to take a new shiny 50 pallet freezer. Also moving into the kitchens is yet another tilting kettle – this time 500ltrs capacity to our own design – very shiny! Our policy of reinvestment continues a pace.

B&DFL Staff Turnover makes zero percent again this year … B&DFL are proud of its staff and hope they are proud of B&DFL, staff turnover is a measure of ‘happy people’ working well with ‘happy managers’ and yet again B&DFL is pleased to shout from the roof tops; a zero staff turnover in the last year.

Qantas Airlines… B&DFL successfully adds Herb Vinaigrette to Qantas Airlines flights from LHR.
B&DFL adds to American Airlines Menus… Mango and Maple Syrup Compote successfully added to American Airlines Menus out of both LHR and JFK, giving breakfast pancakes in the air the ‘B&DFL twist’.
BA Club World and First maintains high quality with B&DFL range… British Airways confirms continued high use of B&DFL products in both Club and First Cabins with the use of such products as: Apricot and Ginger Compote, Kumquat Compote and Red Onion Marmalade. Complimenting these with a new range of First Raid The Larder concept products and Club Class individual dressing glass corked bottles.
B&DFL & Cathay Pacific out of Schiphol… Cathay Pacific confirms use of a full range of dressings, relishes and compotes from its Schiphol euro hub and means B&DFL now direct deliver to Amsterdam in larger quantities than ever before, current Amsterdam clients include The Meridian Hotel and de Bijenkopft.
Fuller, Smith & Turner Pubs… B&DFL have finalised the supply of a full range of Chutneys, Salsa and Relishes into all Fuller, Smith & Turner Pubs. Distribution was hoped to via a major Food Service company but negotiations fell at the first post due to unworkable terms and conditions offered by the very major Food Service distributor. Not to let this stand in the way of the desire of Fullers to have the products in all of their units at a realistic price point B&DFL Ltd promptly tied up a national agreement for delivery direct with Business Post (FedEx Uk) and gave Fullers a next day service at all their 250 plus pubs. A solution that is working superbly and can easily be rolled out to other ambient product clients.
New trading agreement… struck for both Northern and Southern Ireland agreed with market sector leader: Musgrave, owners of Bugdens in the UK.
Aussie Barbies get a UK treat… B&DFL strikes new trading agreement with The ISM Group in Sydney, Australia and launches 7 stick pack sachet flavours on the Australian market. A Range of Chutney and Salsas will follow.
Eurostar… Yellow Beetroot Chutney launched on Eurostar in conjunction with Compass Group’s Circadia operator.
Virgin Trains… Rail Gourmet to use once again B&DFL Ltd dressings this winter on Virgin First Class.
