Living Space
The light and airy non-smoking ground floor of the house provides privacy from the main residence and has it’s own independent road access. It has been converted to a very high standard with much of the original stone walling displayed, and it is situated on a working wine domaine. We have a plentiful supply of water from our own well wich is filtered and UV treated before entering the domestic system. There is a separate spring in the courtyard. Looking out from the double glazed picture windows in the lounge and main bedroom you can enjoy the fantastic view across the vineyards and valley to the distant hills, chateaux and mountains. Sitting under the sky on a clear night with the absence of street lighting means every star can be seen. The apartment is centrally heated and is available for lets throughout the year.
The spacious principal interior area has a ceiling height of 3 ¼ metres. It comprises a lounge/living area of 7 x 4 meters, and a Kitchen/Dining area of 3 ½ x 5 metres.
The Kitchen area
We use the facilities extensively ourselves for entertaining in winter, so they are very well equipped. The American style kitchen has recently been re-fitted largely in stainless steel. It contains a cuisiniere/cooker with 5 gas rings and electric oven. There is also a microwave oven/grill, toaster, coffee machine, waffle machine, mixer, fondue set, electric wine cooler, electric oyster opener, mini raclette, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. The double sink has the latest flexible vegetable-washing hose. Additional equipment can be provided, together with a library of cookery books available should you need them to make the most of the excellent fresh foods available in the nearby daily markets. The kitchen is decorated with a selection of antique enamel signs and other kitchenalia.
The Lounge
The lounge area is comfortably furnished with carpets, settees, pouffes, coffee table, and bookcases, DVD player and CD sound system. The French TV offers UK free to air satellite channels. There is a large selection of board games and paperbacks. The large sliding patio doors open directly onto a patio area, the garden and the fantastic view.

The Dining Area
The dining area contains a very good quality Victorian mahogany dining table and accompanying chairs, with an overhead antique French brass chandelier, (with dimmer switch for that special ambience) and a chiffonier of similar vintage. Supplementary lighting focuses on the one hand on the mellow stonewalling and on the other the kitchen area. It also contains a magnificent Napoleon IV clock [the chime of which can be switched off!].
The whole of the interior of the property is well decorated, and the furnishings are supplemented with tasteful pictures, paintings and other decorative and interesting objects. The apartment has new UPVC windows throughout. It is built into the rock and elsewhere has exceedingly thick stone walls (some of these are exposed in the lounge and dining area) so remains cool during the day in the height of summer, but with the central heating, cosy during the winter!
