At the last committee meeting it was agreed that there shall no longer be any restriction on the main line breaking strain line used for any method of fishing - on the condition that the hook link strength must be less than the main line.
Please be sensible and adhere to this ruling as it is to protect our fish from damage.

The club now has a Facebook page - ‘Rayleigh Angling Club’. Members will be able to post photo’s, pictures etc and of course items of angling interest. Please use this facility sensibly.
Due to the large weights of carp and silver fish being caught during matches there will be a rule introduced to limit net weights to a maximum of 50lb of fish placed in a single keepnet. This will also be applied to pleasure fishing when keepnets are allowed. Please note that carp and silvers are always to be kept separate. Also pleasure fishing nets must be emptied every 3hrs and no fish over 3lb to be put in nets. Whilst the committee realise this may cause extra expense the health and welfare of the fish must be a priority. Although this rule will not come into effect until the 18/19 season it will be appreciated that these conditions are applied immediately, especially in matches.
Please note that the parking facility in the field behind the Freighthouse at Rochford Reservoir has been suspended until further notice by the Local Council.

Thank you for visiting our web site. We are a small club providing excellent fishing within a radius of 5 miles of Rayleigh, Essex. We have a lease on three fisheries and are the freehold owners of a further lake which is at the moment under a private lease to a third party. Although this is available to members to fish, it does at the moment require the purchase of a day ticket. More details of our waters can be found on the ‘club waters’ page.
Whilst the site is updated regularly with match information and results, it needs to contain items and articles of interest to all members. Let me use these pages to tell of your good (or bad days) fishing. What about the ones that got away? Share your thoughts and views of our waters with others. Which is your favourite swim? What bait do you find best at which water? What method do you find that gets the best results? The novice fishermen (like me) would be grateful for any tips by the more experienced and wise anglers out there. There is also a ‘For Sale’ page so any items of tackle etc. you may have to advertise please contact me. These pages need to be revised frequently to maintain its interest so I and other members would be very grateful for your contributions.
