At this stage, students are now thinking in English as well as speaking, writing, reading and listening. They will be happy and confident in most social situations, they will be able to converse at work with colleagues and will be articulate enough to deal with members of the public if they need to at work.
Vocabulary is further extended and many of the nuances that make English such a usable language are introduced.
The course material is varied and interesting, exploring concepts more, and the realia used makes the course so much more relevant. Students should really enjoy this part of the course as their confidence levels should be very high.
The school positively motivates its students well and encourages use of the language in all situations.
The Upper-Intermediate course lasts for 120 hours over a 12 week period. Students with student visas, required to study for 15 hours per week, can join a conversation class. At this level they can also join the business classes on offer or other classes we have on offer in special areas such as leisure and tourism.
After graduating from the Pre-Intermediate class, having attended 80% of the lesson and completed set homework, students will progress to the Intermediate class
