In addition to the fees and accommodation costs students should budget for lunches during the week, excursions and the cost of entertainment. The price of many everyday items are often considered expensive by students. A pint of beer can cost £2,50 while 20 cigarettes costs around £4.50 -£5.00. A MacDonalds burger and fries with a drink costs £3.50-£4.00. Coffee in a coffee shop is about £2.00. A trip to the cinema will be around £5.00 plus a drink and popcorn or a hot dog.

Depending on the expectations and lifestyle of the student we would suggest a minimum of £7.00 per day with £10.00 per day being more reasonable.
