Jersey Lichens
This project lasted for several years, covering
research, photography and book design services.
The book The Lichens of Jersey was published in 2015 and is
available through www.tiliapublishinguk.co.uk.
Jersey is a beautiful island and it has been a
genuine pleasure to have been involved in this work
St Brelade's churchyard also contains the grave of one of the
most significant British lichenologists of the nineteenth century,
Charles du Bois Larbalestier. He was born in St Aubin in 1838,
and buried in St Brelade in 1911 in a grave with his young brothers
and sisters fairly near to his parents and aunt. He found many
species that were named new to science from his specimens,
both from Jersey and from Ireland
