| MODCELL The MODCELL Multiloop Processor is a self-contained Intelligent Process Controller comprising I/O, terminations, signal conditioning, power supply and control logic on a single platform. Available in Logic and Control versions, it can function as a multiloop PID controller, a batch sequencing controller, or a high density, flexible I/O subsystem. Up to 32 single-point process I/O and communications modules can be installed on one controller and configured in flexible combination to meet specific data acquisition and control needs. Control strategies are developed using the Windows-based Visual Application Designer (ViZapp) software, a graphic configuration package that provides function- block strategy building, online debugging, tuning windows, and simple operator interface capabilities. Using MicroMod’s OPC servers, MODCELL can communicate with the Micro-PWC software package from MicroMod, or any OPC Client software package. |
| Visual Application Designer The Visual Application Designer (ViZAPP) software provides a Windows-based environment for creating, editing, downloading, documenting and debugging MOD30ML and MODCELL Multiloop Processor databases. The graphical, function block configuration environment makes it easy to relate the process flow to the configuration. It provides automatic, onscreen documentation of the configuration, including signal source and destination, and “Smart” connections automatically snap to the correct block inputs. On-line, context-sensitive help is available for each block and function. Live debug and runtime facilities allow on-line verification of the database and process logic, and trend windows simplify loop tuning at commissioning time. There is also a set of drawing tools that can be used to construct runtime displays or place dynamic process symbols next to the algorithm blocks in the configuration for easier debugging, without using a separate HMI package. A Smart Symbols gallery contains a library of standard configurations and static and dynamic process symbols. The user can create additional libraries with application-specific compounds and symbols. |

The Extended Modbus OPC Server provides an enhanced communication interface for MOD30ML controllers, Modcell MultiLoop Processors and MODCELL 2050 controllers. It also supports Standard Modbus RTU devices, such as the ABB Commander Series of controllers and recorders. The ICN OPC Server provides a communication interface for MOD30ML controllers, Modcell MultiLoop Processors, and MOD30 series instruments through an Instrument Communication Network Link. The OPC server for Micro-DCI products is an integral part of Micro-DCI Communications Services software and provides an interface between OPC clients and all the Micro-DCI family, including many Fisher and Porter legacy controllers. |
