PGC2000 (Vista II Model 2000) Process Gas Chromatograph - Standard Usage The PGC2000 uses columns to separate gas or liquid sample prior to measurement. The analyzer operates unattended, automatically sampling and analyzing process streams. Description The analyzer assembly includes: an air-purged electronics enclosure and solennoid enclosure, an insulated, air-heated/air bath oven, and a flow control area with pressure regulators / indicators or an optional Electronic Pressure Controller (EPC). The insulated oven assembly houses an Isothermal Oven, which contains the analytical columns, the detectors, the sample valves, and an optional Methanizer / Air Cleanup unit. Sample separation takes place in the chromatographic columns. These special columns are installed between the analytical valves and the detector. These columns contain packing, which separates the compounds to be analyzed so that they enter the detector in a predictable sequence. Results of the separation and measurement are displayed on the front panel display, transmitted as analog values, and/or processed as digital data for communication on a data network to a Distributed Control System (DCS). PGC2005 (Vista II Model 2005) Process Gas Chromatograph - Temperature Programmed Solution The PGC2005 is designed for specialty analysis for separation of wide boiling range compounds. The PGC2005 Temperature Programmed Gas Chromatograph uses component separation to analyze gas or liquid samples. The analyzer operates unattended, automatically sampling and analyzing process streams. Description An Isothermal Oven contains the Temperature Programmed Oven Assembly with detectors, the Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) or the Flame Ionization Detector (FID), mounted on top of the temperature-programmed oven. Sample valves -- the Liquid Sample Valve (LSV) or the Continuous Performance (CP) valve can also be installed in the isothermal oven compartment. An optional Air Cleanup / Methanizer Unit may be used. Special Columns (capillary or packed type) are installed inside the temperature programmed oven. Sample separation takes place in these chromatographic columns, which are installed between the analytical valves and the detector. These columns contain special packings, which separates the compounds to be analyzed so that they enter the detector in a predictable sequence. PGC2002 (formerly Vista II Model 2002) |

PGC2007 (Vista II Model 2007) Process Gas Chromatograph - Fuel Sulfur Analyzer Solution The PGC2007 performs Total Sulfur analysis for the range of fuels from gasoline to diesel. Description A fixed volume of liquid fuel stream is injected via a liquid sample inject valve. Air transports the sample into the furnace, where it oxidizes to carbon dioxide, water and sulfur dioxide. These components are separated using packed columns and pass into the Flame Photometric Detector (FPD), where they are measured with ranges as low as 0-10 ppm. Sample Handling Sample Handling System (SHS) configurations are available for gas chromatographs, mass spectrometers and multiwave photometers. A significant number of the commonly requested SHS requirements can be met with the standard systems as designed by our in-house engineers, with little or no modification to our established standards. When design or application requirements need to be customized, the experience and capabilities for these sample systems may be fulfilled from our ABB System Integrations group in Houston, Shanghai, or Telford. Analyze IT DRS2170 DRS2170 Dynamic Reflux Sampler for gas chromatographs, photometers, and mass spectrometers. Analyze IT DRS2170 solves complex sampling problems (such as hot, particulate laden, corrosive and otherwise nasty samples in a process for application engineering. The primary sample conditioning occurs in an in-situ fashion. Condensable components are removed and are used to support particulate removal before they can present problems in the sample transport system’s downstream components and the analyzer. The unit is a self-contained sampling device suitable for mounting at or near the process pipeline tap.
