John Chirnside pictured here moved to Borough Green from Scotland in 1946, where he purchased the Black Smiths shop at the crossroads in Borough Green. After a short period of time he moved away from Shirring horses and into making some fencing and gates for a local farmer In May 1957 John Chirnside & Sons Ltd was formed when his two sons George and Dugald joined the business after leaving school.
We are now in our 3rd generation with Ian, Dugald’s Son taking over the day to day running of the Company |
