Bridge Cottage Heritage CentreDating from 1436 this Wealden Hall House is being renovated to become Uckfield’s Heritage Centre with exhibitions, archives and local information of all kinds.
Nutley WindmillErected on its current site in 1836 and possibly first constructed around 1700, this is the last open trestle post mill in Sussex and one of only five left in England.
History GroupWith winter talks in the Civic Centre and summer visits, this large group enjoys meetings, produces annual local history books and has extensive photographic archives.
Planning GroupA smaller group in the Society regularly examines local planning applications, particularly within conservation areas, and makes comments to the Planning Authority.
