This is a classic McCabe itinerary and our most popular parish pilgrimage outside the Holy Land. Turkey lies at the heart of the New Testament Church. The origins of Christianity lie in the ruins of the churches, which generated the growth of our faith westward from Asia into Europe. Our understanding of the early Christian communities is deepened at places such as Ephesus, Miletus and Laodicea. The lives of St Paul and St John become interwoven. The people, the sites, and the geography provide an insight into the life of the first century church.

This pilgrimage tour has been designed for those in full-time ordained ministry who are interested in leading a church group to New Testament Turkey. The low price has been made possible by the co-operation of our partners in Turkey and a McCabe Pilgrimages subsidy.

The cost of this introductory experience is £349 per person and is virtually all-inclusive. We welcome spouses but charge the less-subsidised rate of £499, which is still remarkable value for a tour of this nature. You will be accommodated in our regular group hotels which are 3 and 4 star standard and all rooms have private facilities. Breakfast, lunch and evening meal are included daily, touring is in luxury air-conditioned coaches and the visits are included with guide and entrance fees. Scheduled flights of Turkish Airlines from London Heathrow Airport complement our high standard of accommodation, coaching and service. Also included are the internal flights within Turkey between Istanbul and Izmir and return. All British and Turkish taxes are also included.

The only extra that will be added to your invoice is the insurance premium of £25 (if required). You should also budget on an amount of £30 for the group gratuity fund, to be collected in Turkey.

A full British passport is required and a visa, currently £10, is payable on arrival at Istanbul airport.

The price is based on sharing a twin-bedded room. A few single rooms are available and the charge is £64.  A deposit is payable on booking with the balance due 8 weeks before departure.
