The Oral History Project

Hearing Concern LINK is working with the National Sound Archive to record the life and stories, experiences and cultural heritage of the deafened community.

NationalLottery1

The histories will be saved as voice recordings and as verbatim transcripts at the National Sound Archive. One particular area of interest is how NHS services for deafened people may (or may not) have improved over the 35 years that LINK has been in existence. The project also aims to produce a schools pack with notes for teachers and a book based on edited transcripts.
