Why Fundraise?

By donating to Hearing Concern LINK you help us to carry out a range of activities that would not otherwise be possible. Donations are the life-blood of our charity and without your generosity we would not exist to help and support not only people presently living in the UK with hearing loss, but future generations.

Through the work of our staff we continue to seek grants from funders such as The Big Lottery. Although these grants are vital to us, this money can usually only be spent on special projects – not on the other services we supply.

With your donations we can

• Support and train volunteers to provide vital emotional and practical support to others living with the impact of acquired hearing loss. (Outreach Volunteers / Hearing Advisers Pages)

• Support the costs involved in enabling hearing family members to attend our Intensive Programme with their deafened partner, parent or child.

• Continue providing a service to the thousands of people who call our Helpdesk.

• Support our work to ensure that the needs of adults with acquired hearing loss are considered at local, national and strategic levels – advising government, professionals and the general public. (Campaigning)

• Support the costs involved in carrying out and publishing our vital research into the impact of acquired hearing loss on people’s lives. (Research)

• Produce informative leaflets and brochures to ensure that families who could benefit from our support are aware of us.

• Run several Working Groups covering topics as diverse as education, employment, broadcasting and telecoms

• Help safeguard our future and that of the people we strive to help.
