Hearing Concern LINK was formed in 2008 as a result of a merger between the LINK Centre for Deafened People
and Hearing Concern
.

The LINK Centre for Deafened People was established in September 1972 to provide rehabilitation and support for deafened adults – people with an Acquired Profound Hearing Loss (APHL) and their partners, families and / or carers.

Hearing Concern was originally established in 1947 as the British Association of the Hard of Hearing (BAHOH), with the aim of improving the quality of life for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

whose main method of communication is speech
 

Our objectives

To increase awareness and understanding of hearing loss and its impact

To inform, enable and empower people to manage hearing loss

To ensure that appropriate services are provided for people affected by hearing loss

•To ensure the viability, good governance and continuing effectiveness of the organisation
